Electronic Controls

The Sport Ice 248 LE and 248HD machines feature solid state electronic controls enclosed in an easily accessible compartment. The controls are mounted to an aluminum heat sink, which provides good thermal performance for the controls.

The wiring harnesses feature Deutsch waterproof connectors.

The traction and pump controls, along with the dash mouned “multi-function” gauge create a small CANBUS network. The controls record operation and service information that may be accessed by service personnel. The controls record and display any fault codes that may occur during operation. These fault codes are displayed on both the dash (via a numeric code) and on the control itself (via an LED “blink” code).

The machine is operated via an electronic foot pedal and the travel direction is selected via a dash mounted FNR joystick style switch.

The machine also has an on-board DC/DC converter which allows for 12 system items like the head and tail lights and horn. There is a total of 300 watts available to allow the end-user to select optional or install additional 12V devices.
Spare power and control fuses are shipped with the machine.
